It is with heavy heart’s that we announce the passing of Darla Jean Schultz, 77 of Deltona Fl.
A devoted mom and nanny/friend to many has peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home to be with our Lord and savior on August 11,2024. She was born in Gainesville, Fl.
Darla is survived by her son, David Bruce(wife, Diana Bruce)
Son, Tim Watson. Grandkids: David Bruce Jr( wife, Chloe Bruce)
Jessica Bruce, Robert Bruce, Kevin Bruce, Austin Mercer and Hannah “Fiancée”, Joshua Dyson and Rachelle” Fiancée”, Samantha Bair, Amber Watson, Matthew Watson, Dominique Watson, Paige Watson (6) Great Grand Kid’s : Devin, Wyatt, Nevaeh, Sawyer, Lilyanna, Maverick
Those loved one’s who have passed before her: (mom) Juanita Graham Huggins, (Dad) Bill Woodard, (husband) Edward Schultz, (daughter)Diane Bair. Darla was a young mom of three and a hard worker to provide for her kid’s. She worked many years as a head waitress at Art’s steak house. Manager at motel 6 for many year’s and worked at Walmart before retiring, and various other side job’s. A lover of life’s simple pleasure’s. Darla loved spending time with her family and especially her grandkids. Darla could always be found with her green tea from Publix close by as it was her favorite beverage. She had a friendly nature and never met a stranger. A loyal friend. She enjoyed being around animals (especially dogs) Her dog Max was her special fur baby.
Darla delighted in adventure’s to new places she had never been. Some of her favorite things were: Going to stock car races on Friday night’s, Gardening, working on word find puzzles to keep her mind busy, A Florida Gator fan, going to church and singing hymns. Her favorite was “ It is well with my soul”. Watching the Sand Hill cranes walk in the yard. Watching CSI Miami “ her good looking red head” and any westerns. Darla could jam out to Elvis and CCR! She was never shy about expressing her feelings. Though she may no longer walk among us, her warmth will continue to shine through the memories she created and the love she shared. We take comfort knowing she is free from pain and is in Gods care and we will see her again in heaven.
The family cordially invite’s relatives and friend’s for a celebration of life.
This will take place on Aug 31st, Saturday, at 5:00pm Deltona, Florida ( at the home of David and Diana) * Messenger Diana Bruce for home address.
